An Old NOTD

I made this one a few months back, but I thought I'd share this one anyway.

These are the products I used

From left to right: Top Coat (Catrice), Smashing Orange Nail Polish (MAX), Base Coat (Catrice) and French Glam Nail Stickers by Essence.

I never tried Nail Stickers before, but I found out the ones by Essence are easy to use.
Once you put them where you want they stay put!

And this was the result

And a close-up

I really love these nail stickers!!!
You don't need to be a pro or have nail art experience.
All you need to do is paint your nails, place these stickers where you want them, and add a layer of top coat.
It really is THAT easy!

Have you ever used nail stickers, or if nor, would you use them?

Until next time,

Freya

Swatch: Flashing Yellow Nail Polish (Max)

Yesterday I swatched this neon nail polish by Max.

With Flash:

Without Flash:

It's called Flashing Yellow and I bought it in a set of 6 nail polishes for €1,39 at the Action.

Flashing Yellow is a weird lemon yellow shimmer that is very streaky and has very bad coverage.
I applied 2 layers of Flashing Yellow, with a base coat underneath and a top coat over it (both Catrice) and the coverage was bad.
The colour does not suit me (though it turned out to be less ugly than expected) and makes me feel gross.

*I give Flashing Yellow only 2 stars, because it's streaky hell, it has bad coverage and the colour is weird.*

What do you think of this nail polish?
Would you wear it or bin it?

Until next time,

Freya

NOTD: Bright F*cking Orange

This was yesterday's NOTD.

With Flash:

Without Flash:

What I used for this NOTD, is a base coat (Catrice) 2 layers of orange neon nailpolish and a top coat (also catrice).

The orange neon nail polish is Smashing Orange (Max).
I bought it in a set of 6 neon nail polishes at the Action for €1,39.

I really like this NOTD.
Orange is one of my favourite colours, and this one is very shimmery and catches the light in sunset kind of way.
I never expected to like this polish, since I thought it would be hell to apply, but I actually is easy to apply.
It just glides on easily, but you have to hurry a bit so it won't dry while you're applying it.
I applied 2 coats, but at some places it's a bit uneven and could have used a 3rd coat.
I usually apply apply 3 coats of an average polish, but I was in a hurry so I applied only 2.

*Overall, I like this nail polish, and I give it 4 stars, because it dries a bit quickly (though not unbearably quickly).*

Would you wear orange, or do you think it's only a suitable colour to wear when the Dutch soccer team is playing?

Until next time,

Freya

Haul: Action Beauty Products

Yesterday, I went shopping at the Action.
They sell regular and expensive brand for small prices, the only thing that's different is that the packaging is in another language, like Polish or Russian.

I picked up a lightly tanning body lotion bye AXE (a brand especially for men).

It cost me only €0.69!

I also bought 2 blue Waterproof Body Art Pencils by L'Oreal, €0,29 each.

Action also has their own make-up brand, called "Max".
I bought some false lashes (set of 3) for €0,79.

And 2 nail polishes €0,45 each.

One is a dark, shimmery orange and the other one is a bright pink without shimmer.

And a set of 6 neon nailpolishes, also by Max (€1,39).

The colours are really bright and have shimmer in them.
I really like the colours and the polishes actually turn out to be really good (although I never expected that).

And last, but not least, I bought a bottle of Aloe Vera Gel (€1,79) which is great as an after-sun product.

Since it was really cheap, I could afford to shop a little without feeling guilty (I'm on a tight budget right now).
Essentially, I got all this for only €6,14 , so yay :D.

I'm thinking I might include some of these products in my first give-away, if these products prove to be any good.
Would that be a good idea, you think?

Do you occasionally shop at Action, or other cheap stores?
And do you like make-up by Max?
Let me know what you think.

Until next time,

Freya
